Academics
At Michael Ham, students are at the centre of an active teaching & learning process, where they develop skills that allow them to know, analyze and understand social reality and be able to participate in it in a reflective manner. Educational approaches such as teaching for understanding, project-based learning, multiple intelligences, cooperative and service learning, visible thinking, among others, inspire our practices.
Natural sciences, technology, mathematics and art are approached transversally as interrelated disciplines in pursuit of the development of differential thinking and project management skills that involve hands-on skills.
Maker spaces multiply within classes or in environments designed as learning workshops, along with the tools and training provided through our partnership with Google for Education for virtual workspaces.
By means of coding classes, students raise from users of technology to technology creators, using languages for web development and acquiring practice in the new digital disciplines. We work towards educating responsible digital citizens.Robotics emphasizes on the design and analysis of technical systems, technological processes and project articulation.
The spaces of Gamification, among which chess learning and role-playing games are exercised since the early years develop emotional intelligence, flexible thinking, critical spirit, psychomotor skills and concentration. As a bilingual school that aims for excellence, our goal is for students to communicate effectively and fluently in English, both orally and in writing. Learning a second language not only provides a possible approach to different cultures, but also broadens horizons. We promote cross-cutting work with the different areas, debates and workshops on public speaking and creative writing through different projects.
At Michael Ham, students obtain certifications from the University of Cambridge: IGCSE / AS and A Level. These are the final goal after a deep preparation that proves consolidation as bilingual people.

All students have the opportunity to participate in friendly meetings and inter school tournaments of A.D.E. (Student Sports Association) and L.I.D.E. (Student Sports League).
Throughout all their years at school, students represent their Houses in the Sports Interhouses and on Sports Day, which is the most relevant sporting event of the year, where our Spirit and all the values addressed throughout the year are put into practice.

Arts
Students are able to express themselves through artistic languages, developing creativity and exploring their talents as a way to communicate and connect with others.
We work the STEAM concept, integrating arts with science, technology and mathematics.Through Music, Performing Arts and Visual Arts we aim at the development of self-confidence, teamwork and their own artistic vision.
The students show their achievements by participating in Concerts, Choral and Art Festivals as well as Art Interhouse events, sharing their knowledge and creativity with others.
Pastoral
We believe in a God who invites us to an interfaith dialogue, which accompanies every step of our history.
We believe in Jesus, who manifests Himself as a source and path through the Gospel and in the Holy Spirit, that summons us to a communal life.
With a Passionist vision, we discover the mission of accompanying today’s crucified ones, assuming the challenges of the time, carrying a message of hope and passion for life.We live our faith by going out to the community, listening and committing ourselves to others in our daily lives.
